The Backpack Project: Packing Life into Giving

For the 9th year in a row, my kids and I are collecting backpacks and $35 donations to provide fully stuffed backpacks to homeless/low income children through the Santa Cruz ShelterWalnut Avenue Women’s Shelter and Elm Street Mission. Last year, through the generosity of many companies and individuals, we were able to pack and deliver 212 backpacks among these non-profits to assist families in crisis throughout Santa Cruz County obtain school supplies for their children.

We will collect through July 31st,.2012, so if you find yourself with an extra gently used backpack, find a good deal to buy a backpack or receive one you don’t need from a tradeshow, please donate it to our little project!!!!!

Also, for those of you in marketing and events, if you have leftover giveaways like pens, pencils or other fun giveaways we will gladly take those off your hands!
